The Board of Trustees:
·
Approved minutes of previous meetings.
·
Heard a report on district facilities.
·
Adopted the FY 2006 Budget.
·
Adopted the proposed Statement of Beliefs and Mission Statement for
developing a new district strategic plan.
·
Approved the transfer of interest earnings from Sixteenth Section Funds
to District Maintenance.
·
Approved the claims docket for payment of current accounts.
·
Received monthly reports on bus repairs/expenses and the use of school
buses for special events.
·
Approved requests to dispose of the following records: Federal projects
through the 1999-2000 school year, correspondence and general files prior to
2000, records on former students who were ineligible for special education,
records on former students who are deceased, records on former students who
were eligible or ineligible for the gifted program (retained for five inactive
years) and 1999-2000 food service records.
·
Approved requests to dispose of the following equipment which is beyond
repair: one typewriter, tag #1211; three printers, tag #s 2266, 4512, &
2583; one refrigerator, tag #431; one filing cabinet, tag #1726; four
computers, tag #s 2588, 2578, 2579, & 3338.
·
Granted permission for the Columbia High School Band to conduct its
annual Band Camp July 25-29, 2005, on the campus of PRCC in Poplarville.
·
Gave second approval of revisions to the following district policies:
JKB, Solicitation by Students (Fund Raising); JR, Student Records; GARI,
Personnel Leave-Sick and Personal (Vacation) Leave-Leave of Absence; and to
rescind policy GBRK, Vacations.
·
Approved requests from district employees living out of the district
for their children to attend
