Approved the 2009-2010 Ad Valorem tax request
worksheet.

Adopted a resolution stating the District’s intent
to issue interest-free qualified school construction bonds pursuant to the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Adopted a resolution to borrow Sixteenth Section
principal funds to cover the cost of five (5) new school buses.
·
Approved the transfer of expendable earnings from
Sixteenth Section Funds to the District Maintenance Fund.
·
Approved the claims docket for payment of current
accounts.
·
Received monthly reports on bus repairs/expenses
and the use of school buses for special events.

Gave first approval of the job description for
school psychologist.
·
Authorized submission of grant applications (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: Title I Grants to Local Educational Agencies, Recovery Act; Special Education: IDEA, Part B;
Preschool, Part C; and ARRA, Part
B; and ARRA, Preschool).

Accepted
a donation in the amount of $1,000.00 from Jim Byrd to be used for
furniture/equipment purchases in the food services department.

first approval of the 2009-2010 Athletic Handbook.

Accepted the bid submitted by
Moore Oil Company for transportation fuel for the 2009-2010 school year.

Columbia Primary School; Carla Douglas, cafeteria worker at Columbia Primary
School; Dr. Jean Young,
Director of Special Services; and Channah Hollander, Spanish teacher at
Columbia High School.

the employment of Janice Jefferson as a full-time cafeteria worker at

2009-2010 opening of school schedule.

Authorized the district to proceed with the
application process to obtain Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)
certification to facilitate opportunities for exchange students.
