The Board of Trustees:

Approved minutes of previous meeting.
·
Received the monthly financial status report.
·
Heard a report on district facilities.
·
Approved the claims docket for payment of accounts.
·
Acknowledged the report on bus repairs/expenses and the monthly report
on the use of school buses for special events.
·
Gave second approval of revisions to Section B of the District’s School
Board Policy Manual.
·
Accepted grants from the Columbia Educational Foundation awarding Columbia High School $500.00, Jefferson
Middle School $750.00, Columbia Elementary School, $500.00, Columbia Primary
School (2-3), $500.00, and Columbia Primary School (K-1) $3,000.00.

Accepted a cash donation from the JMS PTA to purchase metal picnic tables
and a $200.00 cash donation from Citizens Bank to

Approved requests to dispose of the following equipment that is beyond
repair: eight computers, tag #s 2565, 2046, 2069, 2855, 2857, 2856, 2858, &
2793; eight VCRs, tag #s 1280, 1383, 2427, 2428, 1402, 1492, 2907, & 1309;
one typewriter, tag # 680; and three printers, tag #s 2766, 2764, & 1441.

Approved requests for permission to travel out-of-state.

Approved requests for permission to travel out-of-state on field trips.
·
Authorized the school business officer to
issue a handwritten check monthly to ITC DeltaComm for the district’s long
distance services.

Granted the CHS Band permission to travel out-of-state to

Accepted the lowest quote received for a web-based library software
program for the district from Book Systems.
·
Approved the recommendation that no changes be made in the district's
insurance and fringe benefits program and that the IRS Section 125 Plan be
continued for 2005.

Accepted the employment resignation of Mr. William Kramer, ISD monitor
at

Heard a report from the Superintendent which consisted of the
following: transportation cost for activity trips, a WebLunch service, the
outdoor classroom at

Authorized the district to offer parents the option of paying for their
children’s meals online through the service of WebLunch.

Named the outdoor classroom at
·
Recognized the accomplishment of the Columbia High School Band, 1st
place winner in the 2004 State Marching Band Championship (Class 3A).
