Received certificates and gifts of appreciation in celebration of
School Board Member Recognition Week in

Approved minutes of previous meeting.
·
Received the monthly financial status report.
·
Heard a report on district facilities which included the Prejean
building, leaks at

Approved the claims docket for payment of current accounts.
·
Acknowledged the report on bus repairs/expenses and the monthly report
on the use of school buses for special events.
·
Gave second approval of revisions to Section C of the District’s School
Board Policy Manual.
·
Approved requests to dispose of the following unusable equipment that
is beyond repair: one water fountain, tag #968; two overhead projectors, tag #s
1480 & 711; five computers, tag #s 1946, 2000, 3457, 221, & 223; one
video camera, tag # 712; one battery charger, tag #825; one scanner, tag #4832;
and one floor machine, tag #826.

Granted approval of requests to travel out-of-state.
·
Rejected all bids received for Web Hosting.
·
Gave first approval of revisions to the district student uniform dress
code.
·
Adopted the budget development calendar for fiscal year 2006.
·
Approved the 2005-2006 school year calendar.
·
Authorized the district to begin the process for developing a new
District Strategic Plan.
·
Approved an addendum to psychometric testing rates.
·
Accepted the employment resignation of Dr. Dannye Long for the purpose
of retirement, effective
·
Approved the employment of Lisa Pace as a special education teacher
assistant at
·
Approved the recommendation for continued employment of district
administrators for the 2005-2006 school session.
·
Was informed that Mr. Les Peters did not have an opponent for the 2005
trustee election.
·
Received a copy of the district’s FY 2003 audit report.
·
Accepted the resignation of Mr. Billy Rawls as vice-president of the
school Board.
·
Elected Mrs. Rene’ Dungan as vice-president of the school Board for the
remainder of 2005.
·
Approved the recommendation to expel and place one student in the
district’s alternative program for the remainder of the current school year.
