events.

requests from district employees living out of the district for their children

authorization to submit an Ezra Jack Keats mini-grant in the amount of $447.00
and a Mississippi Educational Computing Association mini-grant in the amount of
$477.00 for

Approved
requests to dispose of the following equipment that is beyond repair eighteen

Granted
authorization to remove items that have a value of less than $1,000 from the
District’s fixed asset inventory list.

Approved
requests for permission to conduct the following fund raiser activities: Jefferson Middle School Band to sell Great
American candy bars October 27 –

Adopted resolutions stating the District's intent
to renovate, acquire, improve, construct and equip school facilities within the
District through a lease transaction and authorization of the lease
transaction.
·
Granted
authorization to submit an application to receive American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act (AARA) funds.
·
Approved
the FY2009 final amended budget.
·
Approved
the 2009-2010 District Test Security Plan and accompanying Statement of
Assurances.
·
Gave
first approval of revisions/updates to School Board Policy CC Organizational Chart.
·
Accepted
the employment resignation of Amanda L. Davis, Case Manager.
·
Approved
the employment of Melissa Arinder and Zelma Magee to
serve Columbia Academy speech students and they be paid at their hourly rate of
pay for time worked beyond their regular scheduled workday; Kenneth Singley be changed from a full-time bus driver to a
substitute bus driver; Casey Robertson to provide Braille instruction for a
visually impaired student on a part-time basis; Janet Weiskopf
to provide psycho-educational evaluations on an as needed basis; and Cheryl
Scott to serve as the out-of-school suspension recovery teacher at Columbia
High School.

Approved
the recommendation to contract with Vicki Bond to provide orientation and
mobility evaluations/services for a visually impaired student on an as needed
basis.
·
Granted
authorization to advertise for bids for the purchase of technology equipment to
be paid from Title I and Special Education ARRA funds.
·
Received
a copy of administrative staff meeting minutes.
